SUBJECT: MEMBERSHIP TARGET DATE – 100%

“We Came Close”

We came close and we achieved 94.3% membership with 328,586 members on May 9, 2012. Nine detachments made the 100% membership target and we are very proud of these Detachments’ membership success. We are currently 8, 825 members ahead of this same 100% target date last year.

All but a few Detachments transmitted membership on or before the target date and I thank you & all the Department Headquarters staff for all the hard work and transmittals received. Many Detachments came close and hopefully should achieve this membership target soon.

The last membership postcard renewal notice (84,000 plus) was mailed on April 19, 2012 and many memberships have not yet arrived from this final renewal mailing. We ask all Detachments and Squadrons continue to mail out their own membership renewal mailing notices to their members. I know you will continue your fine efforts and work on membership for the 2012 and upcoming 2013 membership year.

Our next membership target date is July 26, 2012, which will be our 105% membership target. This is our delegate membership target for delegate registration and seating during the National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Remember – “renewals” are the key to success.
