As a Proud Possessor of a Priceless Heritage. I am deeply humbled by the trust you have put in me. Being elected as Detachment Commander is a Honor and Privilege. Many fine Commanders have gone before me and I will do my best to live up to the standards set by my predecessor's. This year is very special for the State of Georgia. Not only do we need to work our programs, but we have the honor of having a National SAL Commander from our State. Every Post, Unit and Squadron in the Nation will be watching us. The Detachment of Georgia has lead the way in programs for quite some time. Now more then ever we need to step up to the plate and prove ourselves. Our programs like CMN, CWF, VA&R all carry the same importance. I ask that you look at your donations from last year and see if we can improve just a little. If you gave $100 try to give $200. If you sent one boy to Boy's State send two. Please don't forget about the girls. One program we have let slide is CWF. Our soon to be installed National Commander was at one time Chairmen of this committee. Let's see if we can bring our donations up to $10,000. That's only $2 per member. As I travel. I will be asking you to support the Commanders Project. The VA, like it has been and should be # 1. Also I will be talking a little bit about another program "Scouting". The Department of Georgia currently sponsors only 19 scouting Packs/ Troops/ Crews. We only had 5 applications for Eagle Scout of the Year. This is one program we need to improve on. In closing. I would like to thank you all again for your support.
For God and Country,
Tom Chebro Detachment Commander
