Mr. Robert 'Bob' Kilgore, Past Detachment Jr Vice Commander, Past Squadron 127 Commander and Past Reciepient of the Detachment Lifetime Achievement Award passed away on January 13, 2010.

Arrangments are now complete by Flannigan Funeral Home and Crematory of Buford, Georgia. Mr. Kilgore's services will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2010 from the chapel of the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 1-2PM also on Sunday.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel for Sue Bayard Pierce, 80, of Gainesville. Rev. Calvin Haney and Rev. Mike Simons will officiate. Visitation will be at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Pierce passed away Monday, October 5, 2009. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery.

The daughter of Henry Hoyle and Necie Estelle Bayard, she was a Vice President of Gainesville National Bank and retired after 38 years of service. She was a Pink Lady volunteer at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for a number of years, a member and Treasurer of American Legion Auxiliary at the Paul E. Bolding Post and was a Georgia Bulldog season ticket holder for over 55 years and a longtime member of the Georgia Bulldogs club. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Pierce and brother, Clarence Bayard.

She is survived by her brother Henry Dillard Bayard of Gainesville, GA., niece, Tera Sue Bayard of Pendergrass, GA., nephews, Hiram Sidney Bayard of Mooresville, NC, and Henry Dillard Bayard, Jr. of Jacksonville, NC, great nieces and nephews, Olivia Bayard of Mooresville, NC, Betsy Sue Bayard of Jacksonville, NC, Waylon Bayard of Mocksville, NC and Dustin Bayard of Raleigh, NC, great-great nephew, Kingston Bayard of Mocksville, NC

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Eagle Ranch P.O. Box 7200 Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502 or to the charity of one’s choice.

Terry McAfee of Squadron 167 S. A. L. passed away on October 2nd. Terry was very active in the post and arranged speakers for Veterans Day and Memorial Day programs. He will really be missed. He was retired from the Georgia State Patrol.
